Lemon Tree Management is a full service company providing property management in Santa Barbara, California. Today, I want to tell you a little bit about the company and how I got involved in the local real estate market.

Personal Experience with Real Estate Investments

I grew up in Colorado and went to the Air Force Academy. After I graduated in 1993, I served in the military and then went to work for an investment firm. During that time, I began buying and selling a lot of my own personal income property. My family had always been involved in real estate, so it was a natural place for me to invest once I had the opportunity. At some point, I started earning more money buying and selling properties than I was earning through my full time job. So, I decided to make real estate my focus and my work, and I have never looked back.

Management Through Experience

It has been about 16 years since I’ve been managing properties full time. With the creation of Lemon Tree Management, I have taken all the lessons I learned from buying and renting out all my own personal properties. Learning what works and what doesn’t work has helped me to develop systems and processes for the business and management side of rental investments. It gives me a unique perspective when I am managing properties for other clients. I know what owners want, and I know what it takes to manage a property. The process I use for other landlords and investors is the same that I use for my own rental homes. It helps me to match my priorities to those of my clients, and the result is outstanding service that really fits the property management needs of Santa Barbara landlords.
